Dubois Undergoes Surgery, Set To Miss Next 3-4 Months For Capitals
Dubois underwent surgery to address injuries to his abdominal and adductor muscles.
ARLINGTON, V.A. — The Washington Capitals got disappointing news on the Pierre-Luc Dubois front, as the center had to undergo surgery and will miss the next 3-4 months.
Dubois had a procedure on Friday to address injuries to his abdominal muscles and adductor muscles in his thigh. The current timeline would have him on track to return at some point in February or March.
The 27-year-old was hurt back on Oct. 31 against the New York Islanders when he got tied up after digging in for a face-off. He buckled and went down hard to the ice and had to be helped off while not putting a lot of weight on his left leg.
Dubois also dealt with an unrelated upper-body injury earlier in the season and was limited to just six games to open the year, going without a point.
With Dubois out long-term Washington will have to continue to fill the void. Connor McMichael is currently filling in as the second-line center.
