Caps Daily Brew: T.J. Oshie Day, Ovechkin's Busy Vacation, Dog Days Of Summer & Headlines
Here's your daily dose of Capitals headlines.
It’s a big day for T.J. Oshie and the Washington Capitals, as the iconic forward is taking the stage at Washington Harbour to make a special announcement.
Coverage of the event will begin at 5 p.m. on Monumental Sports Network, and it’s also free to attend and open to the general public. There will be fan installations and giveaways from 5-7 p.m., with Oshie set to speak at 5:30 p.m.
DC Backcheck will provide live coverage and updates from the event on our home page and in our chat. I will also be live on X and Instagram with video.
Signs indicate that Oshie will be officially announcing his retirement from the NHL after a historic 16-year career. He spent nine of those seasons in D.C., putting up 192 goals and 193 assists for 385 points in 567 games with the Capitals.
As we celebrate Oshie and his legacy, here’s your daily dose of Capitals news and updates.
