Tom Wilson, Logan Thompson Headed To Olympics For Team Canada
WASHINGTON — The Washington Capitals will have two names representing them on the international stage at Milan Cortina in February, as Tom Wilson and Logan Thompson have been named to Team Canada’s roster for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Wilson earned his spot after following up a 30-goal, 60-plus point campaign with a strong start to the year, where he’s led D.C. in goals (19), points (37) and hits (101) through 48 games. He’s also taken on more ice time and plays both speical teams, and is a reliable asset on defense.
It marks Wilson’s first Olympics appearance.
Thompson, who finished fourth in Vezina voting last season, will get the call for Canada after not making the 4 Nations team last year. The 28-year-old ranks third among all Canadian netminders with a .915 save percentage this season, and his 28 games played lead his fellow countrymen.
Thompson’s first Olympic berth comes after years of work to break into the NHL after going undrafted.

Good for them, I guess. Hope they don't get hurt.
So happy for them. Now Go. USA!
