Live From The Locker Room: Tom Wilson & Capitals Address Ugly Loss To Senators
Hear from the Capitals following their ugly loss to the Senators.
WASHINGTON — It was an ugly showing for the Washington Capitals, who at one point in the game, saw the Ottawa Senators put up more goals than they had shots.
The Capitals fell to Ottawa 7-1 in a flat effort, one where they also lost Dylan Strome to a lower-body injury.
Frustration also boiled over in the second, as Charlie Lindgren got into it with the likes of Ridly Greig, Linus Ullmark — who came from his crease and tried to start a goalie fight — and more behind his net.
Trevor van Riemsdyk had the lone goal for Washington, who also gave up two on the power play.
“Embarrassing performance at home from our group tonight,” coach Spencer Carbery said.
Here’s what Washington had to say after the loss, live from the locker room.
